Another regular twilight in the small town of Arakai. The park rowdy with nightlife animals coming out of hiding and people walking around, it seemed like the war never even happened.

Naomi just came back from her standard round in the park, sitting down on her claimed bench with the box of her belongings chained to it. Literally. She looked up, as the sky had a bit of a red glow from the setting sun. Used to be that a bright red sky like that was a signal for battle, but it soon was dislodged by simple physics. So much for that romance.

Tsun walked home, another failed day of work hunting. "I am either too young...or they do not have 'positions' open..." She yawned, tired from walking all day.

The silence was broken quite suddenly as energy pulses came from the darkening sky and Demons dropped frmo the sky all around the park. 2 Frigates became slightly visible as they cleared the treeline and more demons kept appearing.

The assault had begun. About one hundred demon forces had began a surprise assault on Arakai. They leapt from the Frigates raining down on the unfortunate village. The street soon turned to chaos as panic took hold. The demon attacked indiscriminately, humans and building alike face the fury of the demon soldiers. They proceeded to the main square to continue their assault.

As quickly as the Demons came down, Naomi was forced to react. One of them came at her and got a close encounter with the ground, as she stuck out her leg, causing him to fall, then proceeded by smashing both her fists with full force on the back of his head, the latter burying into the ground. On instinct, she went to the box she owned and grabbed her only weapon from it. An ancient rune blade, or what was left of it.

Tsun panicked a little as streams of people ran by her suddenly. She went pale as she saw the source of the panic...an attack. She ducked into a now abandoned storefront, arranging her clothing so her wings showed. If she had to do something...it would be uncomfortable with them hidden. "I swear...I will not kill anyone..."

The humans fell like files. The demons had little to stop their attack and they intended to do as much damage as possible. One demon began casting fireballs throughout the market. Homes and stores catching ablaze. From the one of alleyways a child's scream echoed as they cried for their mother. Hearing the cry the demons moved in ready to take the kill.

Naomi, or as she now felt, Riven, dove right in front of the child, her face reading hell and havoc. With a powerful swing, she lashed out with the broken blade at the 2 demons going for easy meat.

Tsun took a deep breath, then steeled herself to walk out into the chaos...and hoped that she wouldn't have to kill...

Alleyway: The lead demon attempted to leap away. As he did he brandished his own set of knives and slashed wildly at his attacker.

Marketplace: A demon soldier watched as a girl emerged from a store in to the chaos. He gave a battle cry and shot at fire ball at her hoping for a kill.

As the slash was dodged she slided on her knee to avoid the knives and go for a stab on the assailant.

Tsun dove out of the way of the fireball, the demon too far away to make a counter without risking a hit on someone...

Alleyway: The demon screeched as his attack missed and his opponent countered. He twisted to the side in an attempt to dodge and slashed with his claws.

Marketplace: The demon roared at his triumphant hit. He rushed her, knife gleaming in the firelight. With a yell he slashed down upon his enemy.

Pulling the blade from the lifeless Demon, she looked around her. Demons where everywhere, no way she could take them all on. Prioritse then. Market place. she rushed down towards the main market street, knocking down a few Demons along the way, until she saw a Demon attacking yet another child. The previously saved kid, she dropped in a shattered shop, away from the Demons, as she turned to face and destroy that Demon.

At the new arrival a demon turned and roared. He charged, his claws slashing at the newcomer. (Riven)

Riven Dashed towards the Demon, a barely visible barrier forging around her with green energy and scorched rubble. She made a wild uppercut with the broken blade, with the hope the barrier would protect against the assailants attack.
