Snow had stopped falling, the western woad nasty quiet. Up high, sometimes the contours of a bird could be seen, quite large apparently. Hawk, maybe an owl. But the bright sunlight reflected by the pure white snow made it hard to identify what exactly it was. Down on the ground, a deer walked through the snow, looking for food. Deer weren't indeginous to the area, for the simple reason that they couldn't sustain themselves in this eternal winter. It must have strayed too far from the Wall. She knew there were deer that far south, but on occassion, one would drift too far north. Lucky day.

Dia-hn came out of her tent, having set up camp in these snowy mountains for a while to train mind and body. "Seems warmer today, but still a bit chilly..." She looked around, the snow undisturbed from the night before, meaning no one had come to bother her as she trained. "...well, the day isn't getting any younger." With that, she went off in search of an ice chunk or a boulder to train on.

Quinn closed in, moving through the snow like she was part of it. Her crossbow aimed at the defenseless creature, it was over as quickly as it had begun. The kill was swift and clean. With a sharp whistle, Quinn called Valor down, but it seemed the bird had set its sights on something else. It drifted an awful lot south, circling in half moons, then returning near her, and going out again. Clear indication something was out there that didn't belong. She shot up a flare arrow signaling the rest of her hunting party to collect her hit, while moving south herself, through the snow with her mind set on the hunt.

She came across a stream that had lots of boulders around that were the size of grown people. Looking around to check her surroundings, she got into position to clear her mind and start her daily exercises, setting up a rhythmic beating of the boulder in front of her.

Valor seemed to have found his discrepancy, circling full circles now, systematically getting smaller. It was about a mile walking, not that hard for someone hardened by nature's white hell. As she closed in on the area, she heard what seemed like fighting. Could be Ashe had returned for her so-called honor visits. She'd lost herself. Regardless, Quinn approached with care, not feeling much for being caught off guard.

Dia-hn followed up kick after kick, punch after punch, going through the motions of her training routine. "Ha!" A crack eventually opened up in the bolder, which satisfied her somewhat. "Yah!" She kept on, trying to make the crack grow, eventually wanting it to split in two.
