Long Night

Nadia was relaxing on top of the roof of the music shop that remained and she was using as her home just looking up at the night sky. She then sighed and tightened her cloak. "I think I can go back soon." She said to herself as she stretched and sat up looking towards the forest.

Astraria flew over the former city, surveying the devastation. She shook her head, not understanding human reasoning. "They can be savage sometimes..." She banked, making her way around the city, not sure what she would be looking for.

Looking up at the night sky she blinked when she saw something in the air. She then tilt her head and stood up looking up at it. "Hmm..." She then stretched again this time instead of a relaxing stretch as if from waking up but one for preparing her legs to jump. After a bit she jumped up as high as she could to try and get a better view.

She remembered her former dwelling, and banked towards the apartment complex, to see if it survived the bombing. "I honestly loved this city...but not being human caused me to shut myself away, and hide my real self from them...yet they accept me in the camp. Is it because of their situation that they accept me now? They don't know that I am not human though..."

Standing on top of some rubble now she jumped up again this time to a pile of rubble that is higher up before she jumped with full strength this time to get as high up in the air as possible. She then fell back to the ground with a loud thud as she landed and the rubble started to collapse noisily.

Astraria heard the commotion, stopping where she was, hovering in the air. "What was that?" She slowly flew in the direction of the damage. Was someone still living in the rubble? "A-are you alright?"

Pushing some rubble away from herself as she climbed out of it she sighed. "I'm fine..." She then blinked recognizing the voice as Astraria's. "Wait...why are you out here in the city?"

She landed next to Nadia, perching herself precariously on a large outcropping of concrete. "O-oh, it is you, Nadia. I'm just out surveying the city..." She was out of her robe, as usual for flight. "...may I ask you the same question?"

She looked at Astraria and sighed. "I seclued myself for a week, that should be up in a day hopefully." She then sat down on the rubble and looked away from Astraria.

"Did you have a fight with someone?" She balanced herself, wings out. "If you did...it isn't nice to ignore them over it." She smiled, her natural hope showing in her tone of voice.

"Sort of...." She blushed and hid her face behind he hood. "I tried to jump someone....due to my cycle." She blushed more and looked up at the night sky.

Astraria looked at Nadia. "Your...cycle?" She didn't understand, but blushed as Nadia did. It must be something bad. "...and you 'jumped' someone? As in over them?"

She sighed. "Astraria....since I'm part wolf, I have a cycle similar to wolves, where we need to...uhmm..." she blushed more. "We try to breed." She said quickly and blushed a bright red. "I tried jumping someone during that time...as in I tried to exert my strength in my full werewolf form to... I think you get the idea."

Astraria went red. Breeding, huh? "I-I-I see..." She looked away. It would be ages before she even thought about the subject herself. Maybe with Dimitre... "...w-well...i-if you want to be alone...I will continue my survey..."

She blushed more and shook her head. "No...it's fine, it should be done by now." She then looked to Astraria. "I've been mostly alone for a week, and I need some company right now."

"I see. I will lend an ear if you need one." She smiled, tucking in her wings and cautiously walked down the semi-steep slope to Nadia. "Or do you need healing? I'm good at that too."

Nadia stood up and climbed out of the rubble to stand next to Astraria she then hugged Astraria's arm gently. "Let me lead you to where I've been staying at least."

She nodded. "I will follow from the sky, if you do not mind me doing so." She unfurled her wings as she spoke. "Or if you're staying nearby, do you wish me to carry you there?"

She blushed. "It's not too far from here." She then nodded towards the nearby building that remained intact. "That's a music store that still stayed standing." She looked to her. "If you want to fly sure, but again it's not hat far from here."

"I'll meet you over there then." She extended her wings, jumping a little as she flapped to gain air. Once she was high enough over the debris, she glided over to the intact building Nadia had mentioned, landing softly on the roof.

Nadia walked up slowly and jumped up to join Astraria on the roof. She then walked up behind her and hugged her arm again. "Hey...." She then sat down next to her. "I've been staying in this building for most of the week."

"I was wondering where you had gone. I trusted that you were safe though." She looked out over the nearby streets and buildings. Ruins of a formerly great city. "So...is there anything I can help you with, other than lending an ear as a friend?"

She shook her head. "Nothing just someone to hang out with for now." She then leaned over resting her head against Astraria's leg. "Astraria...how are people doing in the camp?"

"They're doing fine. In fact, I think I may have fans." She chuckled. "I've been singing for them to keep their hopes up, until they can be resettled."

She smiled and laid back on the roof again. "Good to hear...I just hope we can get them resettled soon...as you know I told you before my family lives out in those forests."
