Koutari's Bookstore

Yuu stored some more books in teh shelves. Working in a bookstore was harder than she thought it would be. Especially considering the books were rather heavy. And without being allowed to use her Demonic Arms, it was quite the job to get them where they belong. But regardless, she found some pride in her work that others liked to come there. A good amount of people were regular customers, mainly due to the fact she ran her grandpa's store. Supposedly. Every month a social worker would check how everything was going and how she was doing, but all the time she'd pass every test or exam they threw at her. She didn't have to go to school and was able to skip most requirements for having a store, such as lisence etc. she just had to stay out of the reach of the Justice Department and she'd be perfectly fine.

She sighed as the last books were in the shelves. Getting off the small steps, she went back to the counter and got her drink she'd gotten before coming to work. 2 pillows were on the chair to make sure she could actually see who was at the counter and instead of a computer she was given pencil and paper. To make it all look more realistic. Though mostly instead of writing down something useful she'd draw or dawdle on the paper. A quick look over the store's interior. 2 people were inside. One, an elderly woman, at the traveling guides, and a young man, in his 30's, at the anime section. With that in mind, she went back to drawing her father, or grandpa. Whichever it was.

Nadia walked into the store her red hooded cloak on her with the hood up covering her face behind it. She glanced around the store and saw how few of people there were before she smirked to herself and started walking through the sections her hands clasped together behind her back as she looked through each section trying to find a section with books based on creatures of myth.

Yuu saw the girl enter, but lost interest in her after 5 seconds and returned to drawing. Under her clothes she moved her tail slightly, to prevent it from jamming up as it tended to when going without movement for a longer period of time.

After about a minute she finally found the section near the back and looked up at a book near the top of the shelves which was too high for her to reach even by standing on her toes. She quickly glanced around the store to see if she was in view of anyone. Then she jumped up and grabbed the book but accidentally grabbed a few too many and a bunch of books fell down on top of her as she landed the ground and fell over.

Yuu heard the rumble, as did the other people, but she was the only one to go and investigate. She slided off of her chair, taking one of the pillows along. Putting it back, Yuu walked over to the section the girl was in, there she peeked around the corner of the shelf. "You ok there, miss?"

"I think so." She tried to get up but was having trouble as there were too many books around her and on top of her. "Maybe I'm a bit stuck" She started pushing books off herself carefully.

Yuu picked up books one by one and piled them up near the according shelf. After 16 books were off of the girl, she'd be able to get up again on her own. "If you need anything, I can help you. I own the store, so I guess I'll even have to. Legends and myths, they're fun. Everyone needs t believe in something, keeps life fun and exciting."

She looked to the girl and stood up. "Thank you." She then looked away a bit. "You own this store?" She tilt her head slightly. "But you're so young."

She nodded while starting to put the books back in the shelf. ''Well my grandpa used to run it but he went away and I now take care of it. Some lady comes once a month to make sure everything goeswell.''

She looked down at the book she got before she looked back to the girl. "Sorry, I haven't introduced myself I'm Nadia..most people call me Red though" She says the word Red with a hint of distaste in her voice.

''I'm Yuu.'' She looked over her shoulder back into the store to make sure the people were still around. The guy lingered at anime and the elderly lady seemed to have movedbover to the adult section. For whatever reason. ''So you found what you were looking for?''

She looked back at her book. "I think so..." Seeing a werewolf on the cover. "I hope this has the info I'm looking for." She then looked to the books on the ground. "Do you want any help putting those away?"

''Let's get you settled first with the new book.'' She walked to the counter where she climbsd onto her pillow improved chair and flipped the page back to get to the sales of the day. ''What's the title?''

She looked back to the book. "Werewolves: The Myths & Truths" She then placed the book down on the counter before fumbling around in the pockets of her cloak finally pulling out her small wallet.

''Well truth is easy. But that is.. ehm. Oh, 9,50. It's on sale. Used to be 12,50.'' She picked tthe book and removed the red sticker along with any other indication it belonged to the store.

She blinked. "What do you mean truth is easy?" She pulled out her money while asking this and placed it on the counter along with an extra 2 for helping her earlier.

Yuu took the 9,50 but left the extra 2, thinking Nadia just put too much down by accident. Carefully she noted the purchase in the log before answering.''Well werewolves and vampires and all that are fun to think about but they're not real. Maybe based off big dogs but that's about it.''

"Oh...that" She then looked at her. "The 2 is for you since you helped me earlier." She then sighed and looked out the nearby window seeing some old classmates. "Hey mind if I stay in here for a bit and read?"

''Oh thanks! And go ahead. There's a tabled on the right for reading. You shouldn't be disturbed there.'' Yuu put the extra 2 in her pocket and the rest i a small metal box where she kept all profit from the store. The elderly woman had left And the guy was finally moving aroud away from the anime section.

"Thank you." She then moved to the table and sat down opening up the book while leaving it on the table and started reading it slowly but also maintained keeping some attentoin on both Yuu and the man.

Yuu continued to draw again on her other page. She was thinking about school. If that would have helped her have better chances in the future. Her eyesglanced to her bracelets quickly, thinking about training and the coming weekend. But she couldn't be bothered to keep letting her mind be draggedto that and kept drawing. Even though her artistic skill were lacking considerably.

she turned a page and continued reading shaking her head every now and then looked up at the ceiling and stretched. "Why are they always wrong?" She mumbled to herself aloud.

Yuu looked up. ''Everything ok over there?'' Shedidn't know what to do if the girl would suddenly ask her money back. Cuz she didn't like the book. Da age was definite money back. But they never told her how to handle it if they don't like it.

"Hmm? Oh yeah it's fine" She then finished stretching and looked around the store again. "Don't get a lot of people here do you?"

"Not on the tuesdays. Usually people come a lot more on weekends, and I have to work less then, too, which is good." She looked at the guy, sniffing through the science fiction, wondering what he was doing and taking so long. Young people barely came here, especially types like him, unless they were up to no good.
