Twilight fades

William bid his colleges goodnight, but as he exited the temple, he knew his day was far from finished. He calmly walked from the temple, the traffic around him slowly decreasing until he stood alone. The message he held said that in the meeting he would be told of the truth behind Solari...

He hope it was not another crazy preacher again. Though there was risk to this. Solari was a well established and well renowned belief. Anyone who wanted to change or modify it's teaching. That could spell trouble for the individual. William continued forward regardless. Knowledge was always the foundation of his beliefs and he would not miss the opportunity. Soon William arrived at the location, 3 minutes earlier than the message wanted.

"Hello, anyone here?"

William wasn't too sure he was worried about 'biting', he was more concerned of the weapon she had with her. He followed her into the cave, the darkness engulfing him like a cold sheet. The temperature was much cooler here and he held back a shiver.

"My name is William, who are you?" It was best to know who he was dealing with.

He had her of Diana of course. There were few who hadn't. Crazy, Foolish, and Heretic were a few of the multitude of title whispered on the lips of the members of Solari. William however had never really followed the crowds. He leaned against the cave's wall mirroring Diana. The rock stabbed uncomfortably into his back but he had more important things to be thinking about. Could he trust her? Honestly, he had known her, well known of her before the "incident." he only hear stories of her study of Solari and was not seen as foolish then. After the incident however, she was harshly criticized and branded. Maybe he would learn the truth to the councils harsh actions here.

"Thank you for telling me your name. Please tell me what this...'truth' behind Solari is."

He followed her again think over what she had revealed. He was well versed in to the history of Solari. The strength from the sun was essential to all living beings. The heat generated strength and in turn, we used our strength to support the world. The moon was seen as the deceiver, a fake light in our lives. This belief was the foundation of the faith and anything that could disprove it would shake the world as they knew it. This 'truth'...would it have the same effect?

William stepped forward looking at the depictions. If he was a more thickheaded follower he would probably be looking for signs that the paintings had been tampered with. But the pictures held no lies. They showed clearly that the Solari soldiers fought alongside Lunari soldiers like brothers.

"Fascinating." He mummered looked from each painting to the next. "What caused the betray though?" he wondered aloud. Clearly they two groups worked with each other in the past, but there was no picture showing animosity between the two groups prior to their betrayal. William could understand if they always had a bad history with each other, but there wer no records confirming his suspicions.

William only nodded taking Diana's words into consideration. The need for only one belief? Why though? Was the temple failing and they needed to kill the Lunari to ensure their survival? William shook his head thinking of all the inconsistencies with that line of thought. There must be more than mere Zealots and pride.

"What were the beliefs of the Lunari?" He asked calmly. It was forbidden to research the topic and he had assume because of pagan rituals or some sort of practice against the sun. He wasn't so sure now, He hoped Diana could clear up the holes in his thoughts.

William eyes widened momentary, before narrowing in focus. Diana made a valid point. No matter the time of day, human sought the shade on a hot day. They hide in the shadows of trees and umbrellas to avoid its blaze. Animals everywhere rested under the moons dim glow as the sun was too strong to allow sleep. Deserts were a example of what too much sun could bring. A barren wasteland devoid of life. Just as the sun played a part, the moon was important as well.

"You may be onto something." William said and he relayed his thoughts to Diana. Maybe there was more to Lunari than he originaly thought.

William sighed, he could agree with that. While he did follow the beliefs of the Solari, he was not particularly... a fanatic. He could see Diana's argument and it made sense to him. The sun was not all powerful and certainly not what was needed at all times. One only had to look around to see proof that too much of anything spelled trouble. But what did this mean for Solari? He could see why the elders rejected this line of thought. His mind snapped back to something Diana said.

"You said the past three were not as accepting. What happened to them? Did they simply walk out?" He was surprised he had not head of this till now.

William only nodded in understanding. If someone left and blabbed to the elder they would storm down here and destroy anything they could get their hands on. The pictures on the wall alone would send them into a frenzy.

"I see, then I recommended you stop leaving notes in for the other angels to find. I can't promise you that there will be other as understanding as I am." his eyes narrowed. "I can promise you that there will be angels that will be more than willing to take you on in a fight. I don't know too much about you fighting style but I assure you that you won't win every fight."

William tapped his chin. It wasn't he need to think about it too much. He certainly was interested in learning more about Lunari and he had no qualms with helping Diana bring this information to light. This would be revolutionary. However he would rather not jump in head first into something he didn not have a full understanding of. He was sympathetic to Diana's cause and found it just, however he wanted to know what being an ally would entail.

"I will be more than happy to help you bring these words to the attention of the not only the council but to the whole of the world. How would I help you as an ally?"

William could certainly work with that. He was happy to hear that Diana was more reasonable that his colleagues, thought that would be too hard in the first place.

"Then I will return as I am needed. I usually will keep an open schedule at night for our meetings. Besides it not lie we can meet during the daytime anyway. There would be more than a few people wondering where I disappeared to during brad daylight."

"Let's not push it too far," William joked. "On the serious side thought I think I might. The night is so serene sometimes. People aren't rushing about, the calls of birds have finally died away, the ight is when everything rests. Maybe that's why it has such an allure on people."
