Ashura was curious and examining the gate while taking a break from cleaning up the castle. "Hmm...maybe I should get some more re-breathers for if people do come through. So far I just have 2." He then walked closer to the gate while looking it over.

William return to the portal and stepped through intend on seeing the human world again. Instead, he found the himself in a completely different place. The surrounding were no longer destroyed buildings and the air felt different, he covered his mouth immediately realizing the danger.

Ashura walked around the corner and blinked seeing someone, then noticing their hand over their mouth he tossed his backup re-breather to him. "Here." He walked towards him slowly now.

William gratefully accepted the mask and put it on. After a couple of breaths, his breathing even out and he turned to the man who had offer him the item.

"Where am I and who are you?" He asked in bewilderment.

Noticing the mans wings he blinked. "I don't know why I should tell you." He then stopped and his tail flicked to the right as his ears folded back against his head. "What's an angel doing in this world?"

Taking basic knowledge into account William could assume that he was either in the beast, demon or human world. The human world looked nothing like this the last he saw it. The beast world would have been overpopulated in flora, but the man before him did have beast like qualities... The main point was the air. If the text in the library was correct this was the demon world, and not his intended destination.

"I was trying to travel to the human world via the gates. The jump must have taken me here instead of my intended destination." William quickly explained. He would rather not fight if he could avoid it.

"The humans deserve a visit from an angel more than us?" He leaned against the gat now his tail resting against his leg. "What our world is too ruined for you to visit and help with? Or is it yo guys still don't get along with us?" He seemed young and was just going off of what he learned while growing up with his adopted family.

"What are talking about? The gates just got reopened. Why would anyone deserve a visit? I made contact with an acquaintance in the human world and was head back to learn more. There is a nearly a 4000 year gap in our history books of each of the world. I am only trying to piece together the information." William knew this type. Hot-blooded, strong minded. Was he a demon more so than a beast? He didn't know and there was no real need to find out.

"Well now you know the state our world is in, no plant life, poison around some areas, lots of clan fighting...hell this world hasn't had a ruler since the last one died until recently." He walked over to the man now. "Why don't we go away from this poison gas first."

"Agreed, lead the way." William nodded. He was happy that the man had listened to him. Usually demons were more head strong refusing to listen to reason. This one seemed to understand William's point of view and accepted it.

He walked a few miles before reaching a small grouping of shacks, he then opened the door of one of them and took of his re-breather. The he walked in and sat on the ground in front of a bed roll. "So you said you came to this world by accident. Then as I said, you know the problem of this world now."

"Yeah," what else was there to say? I'm sorry? Sucks to be you. No, there was nothing William could comment about so he only nodded. That being said, the demon world didn't need to stay this way.

"Has there been any attempts to re-purify the air?" William questioned. Plants were good and all but with the degrading soil and air purity it was a long way till then. A major effort was needed to pull the demon world out of this mess.

"Not as of yet, what can we even do though." He leaned back on his hands. "Anyway my name is Ashura Vendril." He looked at him, not offering a handshake just because of their racial rivalry.

"Pleased to meet you, I am William." William mirrored Ashura's lack of a gesture. He would rather not try to force a friendship or a kinship with someone who was against it.

"As for the air problem, you could easily used high aromatic filters. It wouldn't clear the world but it would be a good start." William tapped his chin, he had a few he could salvage if needed. "After you get a good area, fertilizing the soil and planting any type of plant, the best being soy would slowly and effectively solve the problem. As long as the you simply repeated the process, the toxins would be gone in a few decades."

"Great...decades...and what am I to do until then?" He was rubbing his chin. "Depends on how many decades but to us...that's not really that long I guess.." He seemed to be talking to himself now, as if he hadn't had social contact for a while. "What's a new king to do." He said to himself before looking at William. "Where would I even get more filters. You have no idea how hard it is to find any technology in this world."

"My world had plenty of technology." William responded. "I could probably acquire some to bring to this world to start, but doing on area at a time would be ineffective." William sighed trying to think of where the extra tech would come from.

"You said that you recently got a new ruler, correct? If that's true then he could probably help us. I am sure he has connects and would be able to find us at least some technology that we could modify to be come an air filter."

"Yes we have a new ruler...do you wish to meet him?" He stood up and stretched his arms over his head.

"Do you have contact with him?" William asked. What were the chances that the first person he came across had access to the new ruler? Unless...he was speaking to the new ruler.

"Are you the newest ruler?" William guessed half hoping it wasn't true.

"Apparently." He then sighed and sat back down. "I didn't even know until recently."

William sighed while rubbing his eyes. The boy didn't look too old, easily much younger than him.

"No offense, but how were you give the title as king? I am unfamiliar with how the monarchy works in the demon world. It is by bloodline, I assume?" Frankly unless this boy did some amazing feat William could not know how he became king of the entire demon world.

"Apparently, I'm king by blood. I told you I didn't even know until recently. I found out when I met this...snake woman...she's unaffected by the poison.." He went telling the entire story of how he first encountered Nethys, how she doesn't exactly like him, and parts of why, and how he wants to change the demon world for the better especially because of what happened with his adoptive family. "It's probably going to be a long and arduous task especially seeing how I'm only 18...which is like a child when compared to other demons, probably the same when compared to angels."

He was only 18? That wasn't just a child. Some Angels would still consider him an infant. William shook his head and groaned.

"I am assuming you don't have that many connection then." William stated. He couldn't blame the Demon. he had only recently found out he was the king. Not many people would immediately start networking much less in a desolate world like this one. In the end he just had to start from scratch. He needed to get the air filter from the angel world and start with purification.

I can head back to my world to get some of the equipment you will need to start. However we will need a lot more if we want this to be efficient. See what you can dig up, and who you can contact. I will do the same on my end."

Looking at William's expression he blinked. "You are surprised I'm so young? Anyway I'll try to get connections to help, I could try going back to my adoptive clan, but they either think me dead, or that I abandoned them...the latter is true. I kind of regret it because I loved hanging out with them when the elders were alive and the clan wasn't so corrupt. I really have no one to contact or anything."

William only nodded. There wasn't much else he could do.

"I guess that is how it is. The air purification will have to be done slowly." William commented. While it was painful to admit that there was nothing they could do. Looked like the demon world would take a while to get back on its feet.

"I guess that's my cue to leave. I will return once I have the equipment though I am not sure how long that will take." With that he stood up and left calling back. "Until we meet again."
