Hyjil's office and home

"To be honest I felt terrible; I'd been on my guard all day but then you told me why we were there and I felt I had to make up for it." He sat back down in the corner.

"Come sit over here, and it is good to be on guard all the time." Hyjil made room for him.

Kobachi stood up from the corner and made his way to the couch. He sat on the couch. "I'm not really known for shopping for more than myself."

Hyjil smiled, "I didn't expect you to do anything. I just wanted someone to drag around the mall. A woman alone of her birthday is just sad." She pressed a button on her couch and a clean looking compartment opened up and she put the gun in it. Her other guns were all over the place.

"How old are you now anyway?" Kobachi wanted to start a conversation, before things would get awkward. 'She is my target. All I'm doing is gathering more intell.' he kept reminding himself.

Hyjil looked at him and smiled, "it is somewhere in the 900 range." She laughed a little bit.

He let out a laugh. "900, huh? I guess you're pretty old now huh?"

Hyjil looked at him and laid her head on his shoulder, "yeah I am old."

"I meant no offense, in fact, you look good for being 900."

"Witches can live to about 2000 years old. I will start to look old eventually." She kept her head rested on his shoulder.

"I'm a half breed. I'm half human and half phoenix. I will stop looking old around my next birthday, however, unlike a phoenix once I'm dead I won't come back. But being able to live 2000 years is pretty amazing."

Hyjil laughed, "you are interesting. Here you have your big pay check laying on your shoulder."

He looked at her. "Pay check?"

"I have a big bounty on my head. I am sure that it is big if you are waiting to catch me." Hyjil laughed.

"I'm sure it is, but I think it's in both of our interests if i don't for now." He laughed.

Hyjil lifted her head up, "your the only bounty hunter that could catch me. All the others gave up after they got shot once." Hyjil laughed.

"I guess knee's are important to some people, but thankfully you didn't just kill me while i was down." He joined in laughing.

Hyjil stopped laughing, "killing a person is useless. I don't kill people just wound them." She put her hand on his knee, "you healed too fast though. I wanted to nurse you back to health." Hyjil laughed again.

"You did huh? And here I just thought you wanted to use me as a middle man."

Hyjil grabbed his hand,"I needed a middle man that is useful. You are getting to the point of being useful."

Kobachi dropped his head. "I see, so i wasn't useful before."

Hyjil lifted his head up and kissed him, "you are a skillful bounty hunter. You were just useless as my pillow and my lip warmer." Hyjil laid her head on his should.

He kissed the top of her head. "I guess that makes sense now. You remember when you told me I could try and fix your broken heart?"

Hyjil laughed and pulled out her cell phone and pressed speed dial, "call off the bounty I found a keeper." She put her phone away, "I guess you did fix it."

"...huh?" Kobachi's face was filled with confusion. "...Call off the bounty?"
