Ambers place

Amber gently held Katies arms. "Careful, keep focused. I wouldn't want you hurt."

She jumped, startled, but she was fine, an apple just fell on the floor. "Oh...I' sorry, let me get that for you..."

"Hey, what's wrong, you seem so jumpy today. I'm not mad that you ran away, you know, we were just very worried about you."

"I-It's...Its nothing..." Her voice gave away that she was lying, no matter how hard she tried to hide it.

"Hey, you can be honest with me, there is nothing you need to hide from me."

'There...is...Or at least I think there is...' "N-No...It's n-nothng..."

With a bit of a grin, Amber put her back on the chair, and gave her the apple. "All right then, keep your secrets~."

"W-Well..." She was trying not to tell her, but shecouldn't hold it back much longer with the way things were going.

"Well, you can keep it for later, when you want."

"I-I'm a..." She shook her head. "N-Nevermind...You m-might not like me i-if I t-t-told you..."

"What kind of talk is that? I like you the way you are, whether you are human, demon, angel or a phoenix even. You are who you are, and I like you like that."

"I-I'm h-half..." She tried notto say the last word in the sentence.

He walked in and saw Katie looked like she was trembling and her words were jumbled. "Take a deep breath Katie; I'm here for you." He wanted to give her a bit of moral support.

"Half...Half Demon..." She thought Amber wouldn't like her anymore, but she just had to say it.

Gyanburā approached Katie and patted her on the back. "That was very good, it takes a lot of courage to say things like that." He on the other hand didn't have the courage to tell her about what he actually was. He looked at Amber for a reply to what Katie had said.

"Well, even though Demons and Angels are opposites, we gotten along well before, didn't we? It's nothing big at all, I like you who you are, and how you are. You'll be fine, and so will I." She took Gyan along to the living room, for a bit of privacy. "So, we sure are the weirdest family together, right?"

"An angel, a demon, and a vampire living under the same house? How could we not be?" He let out a laugh.

"Yeah, we'll have to work on your issue. How about the suggestion I made? Just take animals, wild ones, if must be. The house we got is close to a forest, so that would leave you pretty covered."

"I'm not too sure, he's probably pretty picky, but i can try and make it work. Maybe I can get my hands on some transfusion pouches. Of course I'd have to hide them from Katie."

"He? You mean, the vampire in you has his own personality?"

He nodded. "Yes, i mean, didn't you notice how he acted when he attacked you and Cad?"

"I just thought you went nuts, or something. I didn't know it was something entirely different."

"I suppose it would seem that way, however, he's not me. He would cause me to take peoples lives and used my luck with gambling to do it. You could say when i lived, he slept and when i dreamed, he took over." He knew what he was saying didn't make much sense, so he decided to try and explain when he was younger. "Around the time I was born I had times when I would be rather split. One moment I would be a normal child and the next i would be killing the neighbors pets."

"I know what you mean. But, being two different people, couldn't it mean to separate you from him?"

He wasn't too sure. "I'm not sure, but, if we were split, would that make me weaker and him stronger and put you and everyone else in harms way?"
