Ambers place

"Yeah, it is great." She was happy to have helped them, she had found a great friend, and a very sweet kid.

Even when he was eating, that question was eating at him. 'Give up gambling or continue a lonely life style?' The answer was clear but he'd need to find a job to keep him busy if he would settle down. But for now having made to good friends was enough for now, even if he's still a gambler.

"You look lost in thought. Are you all right?" Amber was rather concerned about him, seeing as he was barely eating.

Gyanburā shook his head. "No I'm alright, I was just thinking about something." He got back to eating.

"If there's something, you can just tell me. I may work at a bar, but I know fairly well how to judge things and situations." She finished her portion, and got up to bring it to the kitchen.

Katie looked at him. "If there's any way I can help you I'd love to!"

"Thank you Katie but it's not a problem like that. I just need to...Tomorrow I will...I...I..." He tried to collect himself. "...I will leave it as a surprise. Yes that's it." He didn't feel that he could tell them that he was wanting to find a job, it seemed too soon to have that happen just yet.

"Well, don't do anything stupid, you hear? I like you, don't want you getting hurt." She had collected all dishes, and put them in the kitchen.

"I won't do anything stupid." He wasn't lying, to him, finding a job was something that would help him not depend on gambling.

"Well, ok then. About tonight, you kinda have me off guard. I only have one bed, so, I'll let Katie sleep in there, then you can have the couch, I'll stay up, I have plenty of things to do still."

"Sure, I'll take the couch, but if it's too much trouble I could sleep on the floor. If you need any help don't hesitate to ask, ok?"

"Can you tuck her in? I'll get started on the dishes." She gave him Katie, who, after having finished only half her plate, had fallen asleep already.

"Alright, no problem. But...where is your bed?" His voice was soft due to Katie sleeping head on his shoulder.

"Follow me." Completely forgetting she had asked him to stay out of her room, she lead him to her bedroom, upstairs. She opened the door, let him in, then saw her armor against the wall, which she still had from her time as Angel between the Worlds. She was hoping he wouldn't notice.

He laid Katie down and tucked her under the covers. He turned around and noticed Amber looked worried. "What's the matter?"

"N-Nothing, just, we can go, she's tucked in, Ill get her up in the morning." She was acting rather on edge, and was still burning on hope that he wouldn't see. Nobody knows I'm an Angel, nobody should know. I want to tell him, he has the right to know, but I can't.

"You sure nothings wrong you seem a bit tense. I guess I can understand I am in your room after all." He said as he headed towards the door.

"Yeah, well, I have things which others don't, and I'm not sure what you would say if I told you what kind of things. Some of those things being here in my room, so .." She was getting a bit red again, and looked down, with her eyes closed, hoping he would do something, or say something.

He realized he's still keeping finding a job a secret from her so he covered his eyes. "Alright, I understand exactly what you're saying." He began to walk towards the way the door was before he covered his eyes.

She looked up, and saw he had his eyes covered. "Here, let me help." She got his arm, and helped him out of her room, closing the door behind him. "Thanks for that."

"No problem; we all have secrets. Even I hav-" He stopped himself, he had his mouth covered and suddenly tried to change the subject. "Isn't it a lovely evening?" He began to sweat.

"Yeah, we all have secrets. You, me, even Katie. It's up to us who can know them." They walked downstairs, where Amber got a bottle of wine she had still from several weeks ago. "Go sit on the couch, I'll be there in a sec."

"Alright" He sat down on the couch and remembered that he didn't drink the rest of his melon soda. "Well it's probably a good thing I only had one drink today at the pub." He said aloud to himself.

She came sitting next to him, with two glasses of red wine, handing one to Gyan. "I'm really glad I got to know you two, this is by far the best day I had in ages."

"I'll drink to that." He said as he raised his glass to propose a toast.
