Ambers place

"Could we have some mashed potatoes with apple juice and bacon? I can make the apple juice if you have any apples."

"If that's what you want, and I do believe I saw some apples on the table so if you want. Just be careful, don't hurt yourself." They headed towards the kitchen.

Katie washed her hands and then grabbed the apples. She used her claws to cut them open, then put the juice in cups. Once there were 6 full, 2 for everyone, she walked over to Gyanburā. "I'm done with the juice."

Gyanburā turned around and saw the cups. "Wow that was quick, well done." He patted her head and offered a smile. He finished peeling the potatoes and put them in to boil. He then took out the bacon.

"I used to find apple trees and do this in small containers. It's nothing new for me."

He let out a small laugh. "You might know more about cooking than I do. That's pretty handy, but we'll have to get some more apples next time we go shopping."

"Alright. Oh, I went for a walk and fond this for you earlier too." She handed him a paperclip in the shape of a G. "It was just sitting on a clean table in a restaurant and one of the people said to take it. I washed it off and washed my hands too, so it's fine."

He grabbed the paper clip and clipped it to his shirt. "Thank you; now I'll have to get you something."

"it's fine, you don't need to." She smiled at him.

"Well I suppose if you don't want me to I wont." He said still having full intention of getting something for her later.

"i'll go set the table." She started setting the table for when they ate.

"Ok; I'll finish up the bacon and we'll be about ready." He flipped the slices in the skillet.

Katie finished setting the table and sat down, ready to eat.

He put a some bacon and mashed potatoes on Katie's plate. "You can go ahead and eat; I'll eat when Amber gets back."

Amber came barging into the house. "So sorry I'm late. Bureaucratic bas... You know. I hate them."

"I see; I just got done making supper. Katie made the apple juice." He said as he put down the last plates on the table. "How'd it go; you find any good places?"

She sat down at the table, and comlimented Katie for making the juice. "Yeah, I found a couple houses in Pendragon, seems like they're selling rather good. Arakai is as good as sold out."

He sat down as well and began to eat. "Are the houses in Pendragon any good? I forgot to tell you but we don't really have a financial roof as far as houses go."

Katie started eating her food. "I can't wait until I go to school." She smiled, not knowing exactly what school was.

"Well, Pendragon is all newly built, it's been under construction for ten years now. They say it's the best quality, but I've never seen it."

He bit his thumb. "Still under construction huh? But I guess it does sound like something to look into if it's all newly built." He looked at Katie and laughed to himself. He was thinking that maybe she would regret looking forward to school later on.

"Well, it's what's most in news now, so I went to look for that first." She finished her portion, and wanted to clean up her plate as the doorbell rang. She walked to it, and opened. "Yes, can I help you?"

"Does an 'Amber' live here? I heard this was her residence."

"Yes, that's me. Is there anything I can do for you?" She kept the door in her hand, in case the person would try something, even though she sensed something she hadn't felt for a long time. Something she couldn't recall what it was anymore, but it had a vague scent of familiarity.

Gyanburā finished his plate and took his and Katie's, who he saw was also done, to the sink to wash them.
