Ambers place

"We could always find her a foster family, they still do that. And ... I don't know, it's all so fast, I odn't know what to do, I mean, I lived here for 5 years, it has always been sufficient for me. I never intended to get a family, or friends living with me." She was as uncertain as could be, and didn't know what to look at, or what to do in the kitchen anymore.

He gave off a small smirk. "I didn't want to tell you, but I've been wanting to go job surfing. I wanted to start over. I felt like taking a chance and rushing because I knew that if you did give Katie to a foster family, they would surely put her into a mental hospital because she claims to have raised herself since she was 3. I see I put too much pressure on you. I will take my leave if you want."

"No, I don't want you to leave, but ... It's just hard, to go on such quick things. We barely know each other. Shouldn't we, date, or something, before we go to living together?"

Gyanburā found himself stuck. "Of course..." He began to scratch the back of his head. "But wouldn't that give us more time to know about each other?" He asked; he hadn't thought about that just yet.

"Well, yeah. Ok, I'll do it, but we take separate bedrooms. We're just friends living together, if it ends up somewhere, we'll see it then."

He let out a sigh. "Thank you. You know, for a second, I thought you were actually going to throw me out."

"I can't throw out cooks that are for free. But let's clean this up, and can you do me a favor then, and try to find a school for her? I'll be checking with the goverment of Arakai if anyone with her features is missing."

They cleaned up the mess that was made by breakfast and Gyanburā went to the door. "Well I'm going to go get some information about the schools near by. I'll see you two later." He said as he opened the door.

"Ok, I'll try to find something on houses as well. See you later then. Oh, and before I forget, here's my number." She handed him a little card. "Just in case." She gave him a hug, and closed the door behind him after he went out.

Katie was curious. "What were they talking about out there?" She walked over to Amber, "That thing I wanted to talk about.."

A few hours went by and Gyanburā returned. He stood outside the door and rang the bell. "Hey, I'm back." He said as he opened the door.

Katie was watching TV and ran to him when he opened the door. 'Hi! Did you have a good time?"

He nodded and let out a laugh. "It was an eventful one to say the least. What about you? And where's Amber?"

"I've been watching TV most of the time." Katie hugged him and then told him where she was. Then she laughed for a minute.

"Alright; what have you been watching while I was gone?" He asked as they walked into the living room.

"I don;t know. But it's that funny one I was watching yesterday."

He looked at the screen and sat on the couch. "You really like this show, don't you?"

"Yeah." She smiled and sat next to him.

"I wonder if Amber knows that we don't really have a price limit on a house." He mumbled to himself. He looked at Katie. "So who is your favorite character?"

"I like the guy with the Spikey hair."

He looked at the screen and saw all they all had spiky hair. "I see..."

Kaite looked at him. "Do you know if we're gonna be eating soon? And did you find a school? And...I forgot my last question."

He sighed. "I have a few of the answers to that. To the first answer, yes; as for the second, yes I think you'll like it. However, I don't know what your last question was going to be." He laughed.

Katie laughed. "Alright. I hope I like it."

"Now as for supper, what would you like? I'll cook anything, well almost anything."
