Astraria's "Home"

Subject: Astraria's "Home" Thu Jan 07, 2016 12:18 pm

Astraria touched down in front of the unit she called 'home'. She was bare aside from her undergarments, since she had to remove her dress to fly properly. "Home sweet home..." She pressed her hand against the door and it easily gave way, the lock and doorknob having long since been either swiped for scrap, or destroyed.

The man noticed the entering, grabbed his sheathed balde and pressed himself against a not so sturdy wall, hand on the hilt and ready to strike. Abandoned, far from.

Astraria felt safe here, and set her dress on a decayed chair. "Books do little to fill hunger..." She went to what was once a dining room, and rummaged through a cabinet that she kept edibles in. "...I hate to go back to mother and father..." Her wings were out, having been retracted most of the day. "...they would chastise me for being so reckless."

The man stayed perfectly still, his breathing slow and watched as Astraria walked past him. He looked at her near naked form, wings stretching from her back and tried not to move a muscle, astounded by the wings, unable to phathom why she had them, then came to the fast conclusion that the men that had changed him must've experimented on her as well.

She shut the container, having grabbed a ration. She moved over to a makeshift table, setting up the ration to cook itself. "I was a child then...naive...almost cost me my life..."

He moved to the side slightly, figuring if she turned around he'd be discovered, so best to get away while she didn't know he was there. But as he pressed himself against the wall, it had lost the strength to keep itself up and was leaning on him, instead. The moment he moved to the side, the wall collapsed. Instinctively he sliced his sword backwards, with the thought of enemies behind him, but he just cut a couple bricks. He stood there, sword in one hand, sheath in the other, back to the girl and wht used to be a wall in front of him.

She jumped, startled. She flapped her wings to propel her a few feet away from her meal. "Wh-who is there!?"

He quickly recovered, pointing the blade at the girl after a swift flick with it. "You're not. Human." His voice was mechanical, but didn't seem as simple minded as that of a droid.

She went red, seeing that it was a man. She hurried for her dress, embarrassed more than she was afraid at the moment. "O-of course I-I am not human!"

His blade followed the girl as she went for clothing. "What are you. And what are you doing here."

"I-I live here! I-I should ask you what you are doing in my home!" She hurriedly put her dress on, not bothering to retract her wings all the way, making the dress look bulkier than it really was.

He looked around at the crumbling building. This hardly qualified as home, at least not anymore. But as he looked around, dust started coming down and a couple moments later the whole ceiling came down. In a rapid movement he was next to Astraria, at the word "Choryon" a shieldwall, protecting them both from the collapsing debris of the floor above them.

She ducked as the debris smashed the table. "Wh-why are you here?" She looked up at him, a hint of fear still on her face and in her voice. With his blade he could easily kill her...

"Sorry for that." He sheathed the blade, then sat down cross-legged, laying the sword down over his thighs. "You're clearly no threat. So no point acting like you are. I was just going around, finding shelter for a couple days. Saw this place had some non rotten things, so I made myself at home. My mistake."

She went red. "Y-you took some of my rations?" She looked to the cabinet.

The front of his helmet opened up upward, releasing his face. A scar on his cheek, from his encounter with his brother, other than that, the simple face of a middle aged man. "Only a bit. I don't need much to live on. Not since.. this."

"I-I see..." She looked at where the table used to be. "...w-well...I guess I need to find another good space..."

He looked over his shoulder, though not really revealing his face. "This is your home, I invaded. It's simple. I'll leave. But not before I fix this wall. And ceiling." He looked up at the hole above them where the floor of the apartment above them used to be. This'll be something.

"D-do not bother...I-I understand your plight." She watched the man. "I-I can find another unit to reside in. Moving my belongings is a simple matter." She adjusted her glasses a bit. Moonlight came in through the ceiling as clouds parted overhead.

"Your residence here is permanent?" His right glove glided over the sheathed blade, a wish coming up in his heart it had been his own sword. The one that had gone with him in his journey, the last item in his life that linked him to Yone.

She blushed, nodding slowly. "I-It is...why do you ask?"

"I see...well...as long as you can aid in securing us rations...I do not mind sharing my dwelling..." She walked back over to the cabinet for another ration.

"They are self prepping ones...I find them outside the local shopping areas on occasion..." She blushed again. "...oh, and I am an Angel, by the way...my name is Astraria..." She looked around for an area to sit down at.
