A new meeting

William sighed as the grass bend to the continuous waves of wind. While he contemplated the grasslands around him, he mind wandered. The religion of Solari and lunari were not as different as they seemed, but he couldn't jump to conclusion. He had to play things by ear and figure out this mystery. A sigh escaped his tired lips. Nothing seemed simple these days. He closed his eyes to relax feeling the wind brush his face.

William's eyes shoot open as he takes in the figure next to him. He gives a small smile.

"I guess you could say I have a lot on my mind." He responds. "These plains are good for meditation and thinking." he give another cursory glance around.

"I could ask the same of you, are you here to meditate as well or are you simply passing through?"

William pondered if he should lie, until dismissing the thought. The angel before him meant no harm in her question.

"As you probably know the religion of Solari is well known in our world. What we have seen as the pagan religion, Lunari, has been scorned for years. Yet, an acquaintance of mine revealed some deeper facts that I had not considered about the religion. I am try to sort my thoughts on the matter I suppose." Willaim explained with a shrug.

"Solari," William answered calmly. "The belief that the sun gives all life and is the true source of energy." He looked to Anastarya next to him.

"Are you a practitioner of Solari as well?"

William tilted his head, a confused look on his face. What she said sounded familiar but he couldn't quite recall what sect, the angel was from. Now that he thought about it the angel before him did look familiar.

"Your sect, can you explain it to me?" He asked. He was sure he would remember who she was if her beliefs were explained to him.

William raised his hands defensively taking a step back.

"Sorry, I misspoke. I was asking you to elaborate on the sect you mentioned. I didn't mean to group you into any religious sect." He internally sighed, his investigation had once again got him in trouble. He really needed to learn to shut his mouth.

"Acrysta," William said as he snapped his fingers in recognition. "I read a text on her ideals in the library of the Solari." He tapped his chin as he thought back to the readings.

"The worlds working together. Now with the gates open, it seems that the first step to her dream is complete...but even then it feels so far away." He sends a question glance to Anastarya.

"What is your goal though? If ii is not the same as the group, you spoke about, how does yours differ?"

William nodded in understanding. Ascension was seen almost as an impossibility. To ascend was an honor beyond that of many races comprehension. To say that Acysta was a different class was almost an understatement.

"To leave such a strong belief behind after her ascension... no wonder people have flocked to that sect." William thought aloud. "Though you don't look too confident in obtaining her dream. She may have ascended but she was still an angel. You are just as capable as her, when she created her wish."

William nodded. She wasn't wrong, demons were of the past were known to fight against angels. However this had changed over the span of history.

"According to the files of the elders, the demon world should be in ruins...completely uninhabitable. While I have no confirmation of this, demons will be rare and far in between. I am sure they have evolved like us and should be willing to co-exist peacefully, especially now that they have no true place to call home.

"Hold on" William called out to her. "Can I at least have your name? I don't believe we have introduced ourselves. I am William, I work with the religion of Solari. And you are?" He trailed off waiting for a response.

William laughed lightly before responding.

"I am not sure if clergyman is the right term, as I don't perform any rituals. I do however look into the Solari library to further both my own and my fellow members understating of the sun and the world around us." He gives a small smile.

"Sorry if I got too deep into religious talks. I usually try to keep my conversation clear of them."

William shook his head. He knew for a fact that some members of Solari would find any growing sect a possible threat to that of their religion. They were foolish, but they could not all be stopped.

"I am sorry to hear that. Your admiration for an ascended, much less your great grandmother should be honored. I find it sad that you are blamed for the actions of other." William shook his head.

"I am sorry for bring up painful experiences. I am sure I have used enough of your time, if you need to be somewhere I apologize for delaying you."

William looked at the letter Anastarya held in her hands. For a 2000 year old letter, it looked a lot better than a pile of dust. Yes it was worn, but it was far better than some documents in the Solari library that were only 500 years old.

"May I read it?" William ask hesitantly watching the document in interest. His fascination with other sects and ideals came forth. To read the document that had started a sect would be thrilling.
