Bombardment - Corporate Isle

"I am on my way to the main grocery store in the city and I will continue to sweep south." Veronica responded as quickly as she could. She shouted as she ran through the street, flashing her badge when she needed people to listen. Unfortunately due to the revolution some ignored her warnings and laughed.

"You have a better way to force people to leave the city with out yelling at them?"

Veronica frowned but grimly nodded her head. While she didn't agree with using weapon to scare other it would be the most beneficial method. She unstrapped her pistol and shot a shot in the air. It was more effective than she could hope fr and people flooded out of the building towards the exits to the city.

"I would appreciate the help but I can handle this area fine. What about you? I know I... was not the kindest with my shots the last time we met. If you feel discomfort I can help in your area as well."

Veronica cursed loudly. The least the girl could do would be civil, they were working for the same goal. To be fair she only shot in retaliation and the girl had done a number on Veronica as well. Veronica wasn't all smiles and sunshine after that fight either, but she had help the girl at least. That had to be worth something.

"No time to think about this. Have to keep moving." With these words Veronica left the nearly barren store for the next target.

"Something just appeared out of sand. I think it is Azir's doing." Veronica replied. "Not sure what it is going to fire at the incoming missiles though."

Sand was good and all but it didn't have a good chance again metal. Veronica kept up her pace, yelling for other to evacuate the city as quickly as possible. The golden turret behind her did the all convincing she needed.

"No, I fine." Veronica responded. Maybe the fox did care...or maybe she was confirm the explosion killed her. Thoughts for later.

"We don't have much time left though. Get as many people as you can and leave the city."

"What!" Veronica swore into the mic. "Whoever you are please them me your exact location. I will try and be there as soon as I can!" Veronica quickly learned the location and shot off like a stone from a sling. "If you can please help her out of the building if not please tell me where you left her." Veronica spoke into the mic. Despite their earlier disputes...she hoped Ahri was ok.

The three minutes it took Veronica to scales the burning building felt like a lifetime. As promised the janitor and Ahri were there.

"I wish I knew healing magic." Veronica silently muttered to herself. "Not this stupid null." She quickly opened the pack she carried and wrapped the arm in a make-shift split. As for the wound on her stomach... if the shrapnel was removed she would probably bleed out. Veronica wrapped the wound as best she could and carefully began to carry Ahri out of the building.

"thank you sir. Please get out while you still can."

"I see." Veronica nodded and slowly handed the wounded girl over. "Please take care of her." The last part was probably unnecessary but it didn't subtract from Veronica's concern for the girl. "Tell Yasuo I am headed to the next few building... or whatever is left of them. From there I will sweep north."

Veronica left the building, coughing as she did so. If she was to enter more burning building she would need a cloth or preferably a face mask. She ran to the next building but the entrance had collapsed. She called out in vain as no one replied to her frantic yells. The next building's main hall was just as barren and the security cam footage didn't show any people in the halls. She left as quickly as she could as she caught a glimpse of a carrier in the sky. She need to leave the city soon...but just a little longer.

"You have to be kidding me." Veronica exclaimed as she saw Shyvana. Look like she had taken Veronica words..or proved Veronica was wrong. She did say something about doing everything she could to help.

"Guess I will have to apologize later."

"Look sorry alright? And thank you for helping me." Veronica thanked Shyvana. She took another look at the sky. "Most of the citizens have left the city or are dead. I will be taking the route north of here and trying to exit to the forest. Anything you want me to take care off before I leave?"

"Yeah...I am fine. Just try to catch my breath and get out in time. How is everyone holding up?" Veronica asked between pants. While she was mainly concerned for Ahri the rest of the group did work together to help the citizens.
