Out on the town. x Unlucky Demon!?

A young demon girl had made her way into the human realm, eager to prove to her parents that she was capable of doing things by herself.

Gabriel, having installed himself in the mansion, walked through the city,seeing all potential around him. He needed food and preparatory things first, so he'd have to go to the regular store.

The demon girl wandered into a grocery store, where humans were sure to gather. Their family had preyed on helpless humans for generations, and she was next in line to be head of the family, so she had alot to live up to. She was eager to strike bargains with humans, gaining their souls, and becoming better at the 'family business'.

He walked into a store, and looked around. Food'll be first, then he'd have something to look out to. He got some things, and was as bored as could be.

She had struck a few deals, but was running out of potential victims, so she just wandered the store, looking around.

Gabriel saw a girl wandering about, just as bored as he was. He examined her, and found a fairly good power. Might be something worth trying.

She looked around, and found an elderly couple, making a deal with the both of them. She quickly walked away before they had noticed that they had been duped of their souls.

He followed her, with the things he got still in his hands. "Making any interesting conversations around here?"

She turned around, and saw him. "I was bored, so I was just talking to people."

"Well you don't look bored if you run off after a little chat, instead of talking with them. And a wide audience you have as well. Mind sharing the reason?"

"Just chatting with people briefly about souls. I'm doing a paper on the human condition, and it's connection with the 'soul', and whether or not it truly exists." She hoped she passed as a human girl. Her wings hadn't grown in yet, so she looked normal to the average person.

"Well, ask me. Do I have a soul?" He looked at her, standing right in front of her.

"I don't know, do you have one?" She was genuinely afraid she'd been discovered. Her parents had told her to only strike deals with common folk who weren't wisened to the demon methods of soul extraction...this person looked wisened to the process, and there were people who hated demons for this reason.

"Well, seen as you're the one with most experience, how about you tell me? Do I?"

"I-I can't tell...people have said that they 'believe' they do...so..." She was getting nervous, and walked backward into a store shelf, causing what was on it to drop to the floor.

"Why so nervous? Can't find anything in me?" People looked up at the shelf dropping, and Gabriel gave them a look, and they started leaving, one by one, leaving them alone in the store.

"I...just never had....someone ask so insistently...that I see one in them..." She started to inch away from him, making her way to the store's entrance. She was afraid. Her parents didn't know she was in the human realm...she'd come without permission...and she might pay for her mistake...

He laughed a bit. "Well, we both know you're not interviewing people, but I wonder, that power that you have, what does it do, and how far are the extensions?"

"Power? What power? I'm just a normal girl...what's wrong with talking to people!?" She turned around, and started to run away, out of the grocery store, and tried to lose her pursuer. She was stronger than this person, she knew it...she didn't want to die...if she made it home, she'd listen to her father...he was right...the human world is dangerous.

"Why are you running, dear. Anything to hide?" He followed her into a back alley, nobody around, just the two of them. "You got something I want. So, do tell, what is it? What is your exact power?"

"I-I-I don't have any powers...I'm just a normal...human...girl!" She was panting, how had he managed to follow her? "Please...leave me alone! If it's money you want...I don't have any!"

"Please, don't play ignorant. We can do this the easy way, or the hard way, your choice." He got closer to her, still with an evil smirk on his face.

Her face went livid. He knew. She had to escape. She looked around, and found an open door, and quickly ran trough it, shutting and locking it behind her. She quickly made a portal, and slipped through it.

The portal led her back in front of him. "I know a few tricks myself, and you beginners may have potential, but you don't have the experience and power. It's a shame, really, I'd hate to waste something. Oh well, can't be helped." He put up his hand, and with his telekinesis-like power, he pushed her against a wall. He kept his index finger in the air, pointed at her head. "Last chance."

"Wh-what do you want!? Father said not to make any deals! I didn't listen...I'm a bad girl! Please don't hurt me! I'll give you whatever you want! Just don't hurt me!" She was struggling, her heart racing. Her father had been right: People in the human world hate Demons...
