"If we leave Cad and Katie here all alone, then something might happen to them. And in the condition Cad's in, she wouldn't be able to protect Katie, let alone herself."

Katie could barely hear them, but didn't want to say anything. 'I've defended myself before...But I don't know if I'd end up defending Ca too...Then I'm not sure...'

"I know how you feel and, even though I doubt Cad would do anything, you have a right to feel that way. As for Katie, I will not deny she walks in at bad times, but I just can't find it in my heart to send them away, it would sorta feel like splitting up the family."
