Ambers place

As Gyan was sitting behind her, his body against hers, she powered up the Guren, and went to Tsun's apartment.

Gyanburã had returned to the house after realizing he could not help in this matter of hunters. "If i had the instinct still, i wonder if it would be different." He shook his head. "Nah, it would probably have made things worse." He sat down on the wreckage that was formally the couch and waited for Amber and Cad to return.

Amber came down from the stairs. ""Gyan, is that you?

He was sitting on the couch and heard Amber's voice. "Yea it's me." He was happy to hear her voice again.

"Come on up, there's a lot still intact here. And, for once, in the time we were here, the bed is entirely free."

He stood up and walked towards the stairs. "No one's drunk on it this time?" He let out a laugh.

"Not yet, no. Or you want someone to." She was gathering the clothes she could find, that were still usable.

He walked up the stairs and saw Amber gathering the clothes. "No i can go without that for a little bit. I haven't slept on a bed for a while." He smiled at her.

"I had that exact same though." She put the clothes on a pile, and hugged Gyan. "Glad we're both still ok."

He hugged her back. "I am too, how is Cad doing?" He didn't go with them and was a little curious on how everything went.

"She's fine. Her wings are broken, and she got quite the hit, but she'll be fine."

"That's good to hear, but how about you?" He looked her down.

"I'm ok, I'm just really exhausted. This was a hell of a week."

"Yea, you're right, it has been a hell of a week. Might even be enough to make someone start drinking." He let out a laugh.

"The only thing you'll be starting to drink is water or orange juice. Or Katie's specialty." She had her arms around Gyan, and her head resting against his chest.

It just occurred to him that he never got the chance to have Katie's drink again. "What happened to Katie anyway, is she here?"

"Cad sent her to a safe place. When she's good again, she'll be back here in no time."

"That's a relief I was a little worried, with all of that i hadn't seen her."

"Well ... " She tackled Gyan, throwing him on the bed, then lying down next to him, with her arm on his chest. "We should get some rest."

He smiled and grabbed her hand. "I'm with you on that one." He let out a laugh.

Within a minute time, Amber had fallen asleep, her wings retracted, sp they weren't visible to others, and her arms still on Gyan's chest.

Gyanburā closed his eyes and fell into a deep sleep with him holding Amber's hand.

Amber woke up earlier then Gyan, and she walked downstairs, in her nightgown, to get something to drink.

*The next morning, Cad walked, with crutches, to the apartment, and knocked on what was left of the building's door.* "Damn hospital staff...know nothing on how to treat an angel's wings..."

Amber walked out of the smashed wall and saw Cad. "Hey! H... Shouldn't you be in the hospital?"
