Namie stayed in the shadows, avoiding the humans all around her. She had just escaped the slums for the third time today, having been caught loitering around various shops.

Lily walked around the corner, into one of the small alleys connected to the shop she hadn't been at for a month. With this moment of solitude, nobody around her, or so she thought, she let a large sigh as her wings became visible and spread out. They were pure white, considerably large in proportion to her own size. The feathers were well treated, and almost had a luminescent glow over them. Lily gave a slow flap or two, to just stretch them, while leaning against the wall with her arms and her head.

Namie made her way stealthily down each alley, keeping out of sight of the guards that threw her into the slums. She eventually ran into Lily, not watching where she was going.

On pure instinct Lily flapped strongly with her wings, once, whipping up a decent amount of dust, and the next moment one of her blade whip tattoos slashed a considerable cut in the wall, some of the stone coming off.

Namie scooted back, coughing as the dust settled. "S-sorry..."

As soon as she saw one of her tattoos out, she retracted it on instant, hoping the girl hadn't seen anything. "Watch where you're going, please." Knowing the girl had probably already seen the wings she didn't bother to withdraw them. Might as well keep them out, for some intimidation purposes.

Namie looked up at Lily, noticing she was an angel as well. "Oh! You're an angel?"

"Yeah. What're you running around for? Go home, or. Something."

Namie removed her shirt, exposing herself to the biting night air. "I-I am an angel too." She extended her diminutive and still developing wings, which were about the size of her back from bottom to shoulders.

She let a hand glide over the girls wings. "Still growing, hm? Look decent ones, I'm sure they'll get you far."

"I don't exactly know how to fly yet though..." She smiled. She finally found another angel here in this world...

"That's because you can't. Usually somewhere around 18 or so your wings will start to really grow muscle. Some have it earlier, I got it when I was 17. But yours look somewhat close, too. Still need some size development, though."

She nodded, poking Lily's bust because she was so close. "Yeah. Do I need to develop here as well?"

"Need, no, want to, yes. But again, that comes in time. I don't know how old you are, look like, 15, 16 years old, more or less, so just give it some time. Now, go, run home. It's getting pretty dark."

Namie frowned. "I...have no home..." She remembered the day her mother was slain. The blood from that night had washed away, but the memory was a stain that would never go away.

"What you mean, you don't have a home?" She figured it'd only been a matter of time, before she'd meet someone like her, but it just had to happen right when she got a place to live and a potential job.

"Humans...killed mommy..." She started to tear up. "...so now I have no one..."

Lily grabbed and hugged the girl. She knew the loss of parents all too well, maybe not the same way, but she knew it. Staying silent, her wings followed her arms example, and slowly formed around them, as if delayed.

Namie cried in her arms, eventually stopping.

Lily had the girl in her arms, not realizing her face was practically in her bust until she'd started crying. Despite that she didn't let go, instead she just held her, and gave her the warmth of her own body, as well as that of her full fledged wings.

Namie hugged her, letting go only to grab her shirt to put back on, her wings hiding from view. "Humans are bad creatures..."

"Some of them. But not all. There are a few decent ones around. Among the millions of crappiles." She retracted her own wings, having had enough stretch. "Any chance you're interested in eating something?"

Her stomach rumbled loudly at the mention of food. "Y-yes please..." She blushed, looking away, avoiding eye contact.

"Well, just around the corner is a place I always had something from the leftovers. I can actually buy some proper food now, though. So let's go, try some out."

Namie nodded. "O-okay." She put on her shirt, which was noticeably dirty from having spent time in the slums.
