A Tiny thief

She shook her head. "It's too long of a story and too painful." She then took a bite of her fish again. She turned around hearing the door open and saw a woman she then slid off her seat and hid under a table.

Igrus smiled at his mom, "what brings you here?" he sighed he knew this would get crazy now that she was here.

*She saw igrus, and sighed.* "Shouldn't you be in school?"

She stayed hidden under the table but watched them carefully.

"I decided to just work today. I don't like college anyways, and shouldn't you be helping dad at the clinic?" He sighed and drank his coffee.

"We're having a slow day today...not very many patients..." *She was still in her nurse's uniform, but she didn't care.* "...you really should care about your education. I don't want you becoming like Takumi..."

She blinked and slowly crawled out from under the table to grab her fish.

*Spotting the girl, she looks at her.* "And who is this? Another girlfriend? You are becoming like your grandfather..."

She blinked and hid again at being noticed. "I...I'm not his girlfriend." She blushed a bit and hid her face behind her hair.

"I am running a cafe, and doing a good job of it. Isn't this better then me leaving weeks on end and going to demon world?" He watched the little girl grab for the fish. "No just a little girl who I caught taking pizza from Grandpa's pizzaria so I decided to help her out."

*Sighing in relief, she looks at igrus.* "Yes, but I'd still rather you be in school...and you'd better explain this."

She moved back a bit at the yelling and started to whimper. "Please..don't fight."

Igrus got up and patted the girl on her head, "hey it is ok. Mom try not to get all worked up I just got her talking and you showed up." he was speaking calmly and soft.

"Being protective, huh? Well...I'm not sure what I'm going to do with you...you're becoming so unruly...I'll have your father get a hold of you later." *She sighed, and walked out of the cafe.*

She blinked and moved away from Igrus before looking up at him. "G..Go apologize to her for how you were acting....y...you never know when you'll see her again or if."

Igrus looked at her, "she will be fine. Our family is like this, now wanna explain your story a bit. I know I am not one to talk but a little girl such as yourself should be in school."

She just stared him down. "Go...Now"

Igrus stared back, "I don't need to run after her just calm down and tell your story. She was the most powerful demon in demon world you would wipe out the entire city's population before managing to kill her."

"Sometimes it's not about power." She then looked down and sighed. "Maybe you need to think about others emotions" She then finished eating her fish and grabbed her tea taking a sip. "ever think about that?"

"I think about other stuff, infact me helping you had nothing to do with power." He smiled at her, "I am sure you were starving having to steal food and all."

She blushed and hid her face behind her hair again. "M...Maybe"

Igrus sighed a bit, "though now I am in trouble with dad this will be the worse day ever." He sat down again, "do you have a home to return to?"

She mumbled to herself a bit before shaking her head. "As if you know anything about the worst day ever." She then set her empty glass down and sighed.

"I guess it was a little rude to say that. Mind talking a bit about why you are so bitter?"

She looked up at him and sighed. "I only know that my parents died in a war about five years ago...I've been transferred from foster home to foster home as a problem child just because I tend to well build things out of objects a person needed. Eventually I just left since I felt they didn't care and now I live on the streets doing what I can to get by."
