Background: Quinn is one of the people of the northern settlement beyond the Northern Walls. She lives in the frozen woods, together with the same tribe that Ashe is part of, called the Avarosan. In her younger years, she's lost her brother in an accident near a frozen waterfall. The boy never had a chance when he tried to climb it. The following days were extremely hard on Quinn, but 3 days exactly after the accident, she encountered, during a hunt, a fully matured snow owl. The animal seemed to have fallen down in a chase, or been hit by something, with a broken wing an unable to go anywhere.
She nursed the owl back to health and released it back in the wild. Or so she would have, if the owl had listened to normal natural instinct. But it stayed with her, and something in the animals eyes reminded her of her brother. She called him Valor and trained him, hunting and scouting together. Since nobody in their region had ever dared to train snow owls Valor proved a valuable asset, always following her instructions and always finding the target.
