Dragons Collide

Zayn was sitting in the park. There was a fresh breeze, and he had started a new book, leaning against a tree in the cold grass, his legs stretched out.

Void stepped out of a portal he was in a human form, though anyone who could sense magical energy would be able to find him. He smelled the air, "no trespassers but I do smell one like mom and dad." He headed for the scent.

Feeling the presence of another Dragon, he was figuring it was another one who smelled the scent of death on his position. He had to fight his way back through 7 Dragons at the same time. Luckily for him, they were never as smart as to divide their power on elements, so he managed getting them one by one. He just continued to read, his senses on sharp.

Void stood before him, "why do you smell of my dead parents?" He had never met other dragons infact he knew of the king but he thought it was worthless rants of his mother. Just fairy tales to sway him from killing her.

He didn't even look up from his book. "No idea what you're talking about." He sensed he was the guy, but he clearly had no intention of claiming his position.

He tilted his head, "are you by chance a dragon like mom use to tell fairy tales about?" His black eyes showed signs of interest.

"Yes, I'm a Dragon. Like you, and most likely your parents as well." He still wouldn't look up, even though the talk kept him from reading, he wasn't going to give the impression he actually would care about a little boy running around new to the world.

Void looked at the book, "yes this place is not the void. I came here looking to feed on some trespassers who have yet to come back." He had no emotion in his voice.

"Feed on them?" Now he looked up. "You don't want to be doing that. Least not if you intend to stick a little longer among the living."

"It is all they are any use for, is for food. Though this world has plenty of tasty looking things. Though they lack the raw power I seek." He watched people walk by and the look in his eye did not hide the fact he was picking a target.

"If power is what your after, you might want to look a bit higher. There are plenty of Dragons up above that are power hungry. But let me get one thing straight, new guy. You stay off the people with your hands, or teeth. They provide plenty of other food that is good as well."

"I have plenty of power owning the void, I could try the flesh of another dragon again. Mom was powerful, much differnt then the trespassers in the void. Though you look tasty too."

"You're funny, you know that." He put his book aside, and stood up straight, clearly taller then Void. "How about you don't try with that attitude. I assume by your way of acting you never really faced a Dragon in a real battle. Let's hope for your sake you won't have to."

The air around them was steadly getting heavier, "if we both fought here the food would be in danger of getting destroyed."

"If we fought here, you're be buried three miles underground after a minute. And I'd have to damage my park. I like nature. And I don't want you screwing around with the people I care for. my people." He looked to the guy, his eyes fixing on him. "Why don't you go back, before I decide taking precautionary measures?"

By now the gravoty was so intense it was weighing people down. They were freaking out, "I am having fun with these new type of meal. I wonder how much more they can take, the trespassers can take a great deal of my power."

He grabbed the new guys throat, without warning and pulled him off his feet, nullifying his gravity power. "You think you're something? Why don't you go up to the Sky Dragons and prove you're what you claim you are."

He stopped the gravity that kept him the normal weight of a human and let his weigh make him touch the ground. "Why prove myself to weaklings who group together?" He was still being choked.

"To prove you are more then they are. Until you manage to prove your worth, you are nothing. And I'l treat you as such." He put him back on his feet, and let go of him, putting right his jacket. "So, don't screw around, and you won't get in trouble."

He touched his own neck, "being the master of the void means I am nothing. Though I must return by now the only guest of the void might be awake." He made a portal, "you are invited as the 2nd guest of the void. I must learn more of this sky dragons." He stood in front of his portal.

"If you go after them, I can guarantee you'll learn one thing. Pain." He sat back, and picked up his book again.

"Pain mom must of felt it too." He stepped through the portal.
