Making a choice

"If that is what you wish, then I will do the same. I have learned all I need to know of my past, and it's time for me to start making my future now...with you."

He nodded and kissed her. "But it will mean I will die of age eventually while you will outlive me."

"I'm sure there would be a way...to keep us together...if not...then I'll be the one to end my own life...again. So we can be together in the afterlife..."

He shook his head. "I want you to be happy." He then wrapped his wings around her as well and smiled. "As long as your happy I'll be fine."

"I'm happy now...but if you're to die eventually...when you're gone...I won't be happy like I am now..."

"I could tell them I left you and keep my job." he looked at her. "Or...if I don't keep my job when I die since your an obian you know the spell used to try to bring you back....use it on me."

"But that spell...if I did bring you back...you'd have no memory of me...and you'd kill me...I know...I...killed...my former lover who brought me back after I had died...just leave your job...and we'll find a way to be together...forever."

He looked at her and nodded. "Ok." He then kissed her. "So your sure you want to be with me even though I've lived a life around death basically."

*She nodded* "I've been the same way...for the first part of my life as an obian, at least...so I don't mind."

He smiled and then hugged her. "Dark Ray...you said he's yours?" He blinked. "What did you mean by that?"

"He's...of my body. He's my child."

He kissed her cheek. "Well...I'd be honored to share a life with you and him." He then lay his head on her shoulder. "Especially since he helped me recover some of my memories. He's actually at the castle right now resting." He looked at her. "Shall we get your armor on now...your wings feel dry."

"Okay..."

"Unless you want to stay here for now like this and just watch the sunrise with me." He looked at her.

"..." *She was silent. If they carried their relationship like she did before...there might be another creature like Ray soon...*

He looked at her and blinked. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing...just thinking about my past...that's all..."

He kissed her cheek. "It's in the past...just look to the future now." He then walked to the end of the pier and sat down looking at the sky.

"But the past...is the future...in a way. With us...and me being an Obian with the ability to reproduce...we might have another...like Ray..."

He blushed and looked up at her. "We won't if you don't want to." He then smiled. "But if you do I'd be there to help you."

"I'd like that..." *She sits down beside him, and wraps a wing around him* "...that...makes me feel better about the future."

He smiled and cuddled in her wing. "I won't be able to leave my job until a year though when the reapers have another meeting." He looked at her. "So until then I'll be on duty every now and then." He kissed her and wrapped his wing around her as well. "But I will always be there for you."

"Okay...I understand."

He looked at her. "Acrysta....I promise I won't leave you ever."

"Okay...I promise as well..." *She stands up* "...now...let's get my armor back on...I'm starting to feel a draft."
